Since ten years ago, Duo BraGal enjoys a business card that represents the basis of a successful career.
Madalina Smocov (flute) and Roxana Morcosanu (guitar) both graduated at the Conservatoire 'G. Verdi' of Turin, and they have acquired their individual musical and professional experience following courses and masterclasses with internationally renowned musicians such as Frédéric Zigante, Lucia Pizzutel, Sébastian Jacot, Davide Formisano, Patrick Gallois.
After a chamber music specialisation course in 2018 with the SOLO DUO - Lorenzo Micheli & Matteo Mela - at the Conservatoire of Aosta, in 2022 they attend the annual specialisation course with Maestro Marco Caiazza. Numerous successes in various national and international competitions include:
First Prize at the National Competition 'Città di Voghera' 2015 (PV);
First Prize at the International Guitar Competition 'Città di Favria' 2017 (TO);
First Prize at the 'Sac. M° G. Ansaldi' National Guitar Competition in Roburent (CN).
Following the success of their debut, which took place in Turin in 2013, they ventured in the deepening of classical and modern repertoire performing for important Italian and European music festivals such as: 'Aurore Musicali', 'Festival Chitarristico Internationale Six Ways', 'Corde Pizzicate', 'La Magia del Borgo', 'Musique et vie', 'Lyceum Club International Switzerland', 'JRC - European Commission'.
Among the highlights are the 2017 performance in the Istituto Santa Maria hall, at the Senate of the Italian Republic, and the 2019 performance for the Romanian Semester of the European Commission.
Madalina and Roxana also pursue their own careers as soloists and chamber musicians.
